Treatment Options

ABVD Chemotherapy

Standard first-line chemotherapy regimen combining doxorubicin (Adriamycin), bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine. Highly effective for early and advanced-stage Hodgkin lymphoma with cure rates exceeding 80%.

BEACOPP Chemotherapy

Intensive chemotherapy regimen (bleomycin, etoposide, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, procarbazine, prednisone) for high-risk advanced-stage disease. Higher cure rates but with increased toxicity.

Radiation Therapy

External beam radiation, often combined with chemotherapy (combined modality therapy). Used for early-stage disease, bulky tumors, or residual disease after chemotherapy. Advanced techniques minimize long-term side effects.

Stem Cell Transplantation

Autologous or allogeneic stem cell transplant for relapsed or refractory Hodgkin lymphoma. High-dose chemotherapy followed by stem cell infusion offers potential cure for patients who fail initial treatment.

Immunotherapy

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (nivolumab, pembrolizumab) and brentuximab vedotin (antibody-drug conjugate) for relapsed/refractory disease. Highly effective with durable responses, often used before stem cell transplant.

Targeted Therapy

Brentuximab vedotin targeting CD30 on Reed-Sternberg cells, and other targeted agents based on molecular profiling. Used alone or in combination with chemotherapy for improved outcomes.
